Capítol 4

Estava molt fosc i tot i que l’Enric portava la lot era difícil veure res. Va passar el primer passadís a l’esquerra, dos a la dreta i esquerra una altra vegada. Des de feia temps tenia gravada aquella combinació al cap. Estava a l’entrada de l’últim tram que donava directament a l’amagatall. Tenia les mans suades i no podia pensar clarament. Necessitava trobar a l’Isma allà mateix o no sabia si el cor li aguantaria els nervis.

Va fer les últimes passes i es va endinsar a l’habitació. Tremolava i no era capaç de dirigir el raig de llum on volia. Es va endinsar una mica més i de cop va ensopegar amb alguna cosa que el va fer caure. Mentre queia es va adonar que el que l’havia fet ensopegar era el cos de l’Isma. Va ser l’última imatge abans de tocar el terra amb el cap i perdre el coneixement.

Mentre, a casa el Pere les coses no anaven massa bé. Havien hagut de donar un tranquil·litzant a l’Anna i estava dormida, però la resta no podien aguantar el neguit.

En Pere va decidir que l’Enric estava tardant massa i el va trucar al mòbil.

- Hola, sóc l’Enric

- Enric, on ets, que l’has trobat?

- Deixeu el missatge després de sentir el senyal.

Una altra vegada el contestador maleït, en Pere no es podia acostumar a la nova tecnologia.

A) La policia els troba a l’amagatall

B) L’Isma es desperta

C) Els donen per desapareguts

It was dark and, although Enric had the torch, it was difficult to see anything.

He turned down the first corridor on the left, then the second on the right and then left again. He had had that combination in his mind for a long time. He was in the hallway of the last part, which led directly to the hiding place.

His hands were sweaty and he couldn’t  think clearly. He needed to find Isma right now, and he didn’t know if he could control his nerves.

He walked the last few steps slowly and entered into the room. He was quivering and wasn’t able to focus the torch were he wanted to. He entered a little bit further and stumbled over something that made him fall. As he was falling, he realised that it was Isma’s body he had tripped over. It was the last thing he saw before loosing consciousness?

In the meantime, at Peter’s house, things were not good. They had to give Anna a tranquilliser, and she was asleep, the rest were also very nervous.

Peter thought that Enric was very late and decided to phone him on his mobile phone.

- Hello, this is Enric.

- Enric, where are you? Have you found him?

- Leave a message after the beep.

The stupid answering machine he thought, Peter couldn’t get used to new technology.

Options:

A) The police find them in the hiding place

B)  Isma wakes up

C) They both have disappeared.
